The skater of the year is a award that is given out every year by the thrasher skate magazine. this award is very hard to get you have to be the best of the best any type of skater can get this meaning you do not have to be a bowl or street skater you can be any type witch i think is very cool. This year the skater was Ishod wair he is a great street skater and definitely deserved it.

Rodney is apart of  some of the first skaters to get really famous through skating he was also on the same team as tony hawk and Steve caballero that team was the Powell Peralta.
